Are you limited by your thick thighs when choosing outfits? You do not have to be anymore. Modelling the outer thighs by liposuction (often performed in combination of hip or buttock liposuction) will help you with problematic parts of your body and will restore your self-confidence. The same applies for men whose organism tends to store fat in the thighs. You will be impressed with the modern way of liposuction using BodyTite, because it is even gentler and has a greater impact on smoothing the skin through the combination of radiofrequency energy (RFAL).

WHAT TO START WITH BEFORE THE PROCEDURE
Ask questions and get advice
The first step to a beautiful figure is a consultation where you will get to know everything about the procedure. You will be taken care of directly by a plastic surgeon at the Aesthevita plastic surgery clinic. He/she will recommend you how much fat and from which areas would be appropriate to suck out. Do not be surprised if he/she suggests sucking out the fat from more than one body part. It is not always enough to suck out the fat from one body part for the desired body shape.
The liposuction will lighten you
If you get sad every time you look in the mirror, it is the right time to do something about it. We are born with a certain number of fat cells and a predisposition where the subcutaneous fat will accumulate. Buttocks and thighs are usually problematic for women. The gradually slowing metabolism and a sedentary occupation also do not really help matters and that is why liposuction is such a great ally.
Right before the surgery
Before the procedure, you undergo the pre-surgery examination with blood sampling and an ECG. The patients aged over 60 undergo an x-ray of the lungs as well, for smokers the age limit is set at 50+.
WHAT IS HAPPENING UNDER THE HANDS OF A SURGEON
Scars of only a few millimetres
Sucking the fat out during the process of liposuction BodyTite is performed by very thin cannulas which do not leave profound bruises. Radiofrequency energy effectively dissolves redundant fat and its subsequent sucking is less traumatic for the body. At the same time, this energy has a very positive effect on smoothing the skin with cellulite thanks to warming the skin and the subcutaneous tissue. Moreover, it minimizes the creation of post-surgery haematomas and bruises. Stitching the wounds with absorbable sutures and application of sterile bandage come at the end of the surgery.
Local or general?
The liposuction is performed under both local and general anaesthesia. The second option is more comfortable for the patients; there is no pain at all. If you undergo local anaesthesia, take into account the fact that you will feel the pressure of the cannula through which the surgeon sucks the fat out.
How much fat does the surgeon suck out?
During the liposuction, the fat leaves the body together with blood. The surgeon is therefore allowed to remove only a certain maximum amount of fat. Calculate 1 % of your weight and multiply it by four or five. The result is the maximum amount of fat which can be sucked out during one liposuction procedure. Nevertheless, it is still true that the surgeon can suck out no more than 5 litres of fat during one surgery regardless the weight of the patient.
THE WAYS IN WHICH I CAN SUPPORT RECOVERY
Allow yourself a week of laziness
Tumescent liposuction in combination with radiofrequency energy is less demanding for the body and the process of recovery is faster than for conventional liposuction. But still take a rest shortly after the procedure. Some small bruises may also appear. After you spend a week resting, you can return to your normal activities. You will be able to do sports and other physically demanding activities approximately 4 weeks after the surgery.
Tight garment will make the healing faster
Wear compression garment for the whole 6 weeks of your recovery. Take it off only when it’s necessary – for a shower. A handy trick of gentle pressure massaging will help to soften the scars and make them more pliable. That is how they become less visible.
It takes time until the final body shape is visible
Patience is a virtue and it is necessary after liposuction. The body parts from which the fat was sucked out get gradually smaller, and it can take more than a month to reach the final body shape. No worries, the curves you are looking for when you stand in front of the mirror will appear soon. Only they may not be visible straight after the last bruise disappears.
HOW IT WILL CHANGE MY LIFE
How to keep the achieved body shape?
The fat cells act according to our genetic predisposition. It also depends on how we take care of our body. The liposuction can get rid of the fat cells but it is not omnipotent. Promise yourself that before the procedure that you will end with the old bad habits and you will change your lifestyle after the recovery. This way you will keep your modelled figure.
The fat is no longer stored in the treated areas after the liposuction. The fat cells are gone from there forever. But our body will deal with it without problems. It will find another part where the fat can be stored. That is why keeping the desired figure needs your effort. Good dietary habits should go hand in hand with exercising. Even small things count – go for a walk and take the stairs instead of using the elevator.
